06/12/2026 It's currently 10:17 AM In Ahmedabad; for my friends in Pittsburgh, it's around 12:48 AM, and for my roommate in San Francisco, it's around 9:48. It's odd talking to people in other time zones; while you're eating breakfast, they're eating dinner; when you say goodnight, the sun’s in the middle of the sky for them; when you’re up at 2 am texting them, they might not even have had dinner yet. On another note, this trip to India has been so much fun! On our first day here, we went to see my paternal grandpa(Dada). The thing is, we planned our trip 10 days before we got on our set of flights, so no one in our family knew we were coming. When we reached my aunt’s(bouha) apartment, we quietly snuck in and surprised my Grandpa. The smile on his face when he saw us was priceless. My only complaint about India is that the summer weather has been absolutely atrocious. With consistently high temperatures of 105°F, it's hot enough to cook an egg by just standing outside. Luckily, we’ve been able to have the comfort of air conditioning wherever we’ve stayed; but as soon as you walk outside a room with aircon, you start sweating.
